Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Program Operations Support Assistant to provide operational and programmatic support for EFNEP statewide initiatives. Position Summary

This position provides operational and programmatic support for statewide program initiatives for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program ( EFNEP ). The incumbent coordinates trainings and program resources, supports purchasing and budget-related activities, maintains program accountability and reporting systems, and serves as a key communication liaison with county faculty and staff. The position assists with the implementation of program operations and ensures the timely flow of information, materials, and documentation necessary for effective statewide program delivery. Administrative functions are performed in support of program operations and represent a smaller portion of the overall responsibilities.

  • Travel to Extension events, such as trainings or meetings held at extension offices throughout the state. Travel to campus storage space for material inventory and distribution.

Statewide Program Coordination and Accountability
  • Provides operational support for statewide program activities for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program ( EFNEP ).
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for county faculty and staff regarding program procedures, resources, reporting requirements, and operational processes.
  • Maintains regular communication with county personnel, supports program implementation, monitors required documentation and reporting timelines, and assists in ensuring consistency and accountability across statewide program operations.

Training and Program Coordination
  • Coordinates statewide trainings, meetings, and professional development activities in support of program delivery. Responsibilities include registration management, travel coordination, facility arrangements, communication with participants, preparation of training materials, and logistical support before, during, and after events.
  • Assists state staff in planning and implementing training initiatives that support county program personnel.

Program Resource Administration and Budget Support
  • Supports program purchasing and resource management activities by researching products and vendors, obtaining quotes, processing purchases, maintaining purchasing documentation, tracking expenditures, and coordinating distribution of educational supplies and materials.
  • Assists with monitoring inventories and ensuring county staff have access to resources necessary for program implementation.

Program Accountability, Data Management, and Reporting
  • Maintains program databases, electronic record systems, and reporting tools.
  • Tracks receipt of required program documentation, monitors data submission processes, maintain records retention procedures, and prepares reports to support program accountability and evaluation requirements.
  • Assists with ensuring completeness, accuracy, and organization of statewide program records
