Raytheon is looking for an experienced Program Operations Manager (POM) to join the Advanced Programs (AP) Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) Growth team supporting a portfolio of programs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving program material delivery and financial performance objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In this role, you’ll be the liaison between Operations, Supply Chain, Growth program leadership, engineering and the supply base. You’ll execute the Program's capacity strategy at our suppliers’ facilities to ensure our suppliers are ready to support our upcoming increased rate.

In addition, this team will serve as the liaison for the internal supply chain team, program engineering, program leadership, and supply base as the point of contact inside the supplier to assist with any delivery or technical concerns.

This position supports production efforts and requires us to operate in a challenging and constantly changing environment where successful material strategy execution is a key contributor to overall program success.

This position is primarily traveling and working at supplier location role.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage and report short and long-term cost, schedule, execution planning, forecasting, and productivity for Supplier Capacity investments and Manage sourcing, capital, and capacity strategies to ensure supplier’s ability to increase production deliveries within requested timeline.
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
  • Identify supply gaps and strategies to address.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen in managing budget, schedule, and resource plans.
  • Deliver clear verbal and visual presentations that convey bias for action to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and customers.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and support escalation efforts to remove barriers, align teams, and achieve program objectives.
  • Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance to Inch- and Milestones.
  • Monitoring and proactively address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS Flow down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.
  • Travel to key suppliers to support program growth strategy.
  • Liaison between operations, supply base, supply chain, engineering, and Growth program management weekly on status of supplier capacity, facility changes, and investment.
  • Coordinate with internal supply chain, engineering, and program management team on any technical or delivery concerns with path to solution strategy.
  • Travel domestically, Ability to travel, per the RTX travel policy, at least 80% of the time.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in supply chain, finance, operations, project management, and/or program management role
  • Experience managing supplier performance relative to financials, performance metrics, and/or contract compliance
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Operations and/or Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry
  • Supplier management experience (PO placement, proposal reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition)
  • Experience with government regulations (i.e. FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Excellent reporting skills and experience leading and/or participating in cross functional team.
