The Packard Foundation, a leading philanthropic organization in the United States, seeks a Program Officer to lead and manage the Philanthropy Fund and Special Opportunities portfolio. You will engage with trustees, grantees, and staff to ensure timely, strategic grantmaking and cross‑foundation collaboration while supporting ad hoc projects and internal leadership across initiatives.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong relationship management, and the ability to navigate complex grant

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Philanthropy Fund, including Philanthropic Field Advancement grants and membership grants.
• Engage in philanthropic sector spaces to track emerging groups and donors and use insights to inform strategy.
• Lead the Special Opportunities portfolio with trustee engagement, grant diligence and cross‑foundation information sharing.
• Provide flexible project management, analysis, research, and partnership support for ad hoc special projects.
