Job summary

The David and Lucile Packard Foundation is seeking a Program Officer to lead the Philanthropy Fund and the Special Opportunities portfolio, engaging with trustees and staff to ensure strategic grantmaking. The role requires strong analytical capability, relationship-building across foundations, and a track record of managing complex funds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Philanthropy Fund and the Philanthropic Field Advancement grants.
  • Oversee the Special Opportunities portfolio and engage with trustees and staff across the Foundation.
  • Manage long-term relationship grants from the President’s and Agility portfolios as needed.
  • Provide project management, analysis, research, and partnership support for ad hoc projects.
  • Coordinate internal leadership and cross-foundation strategy discussions.
