Job summary

Promises DFW in Lewisville, TX, part of the Advanced Recovery Systems family, seeks a Program Nurse (RN) to support nursing operations, medication management and direct client care within a behavioral health setting.

The role involves assessing patients, coordinating admissions, supervising medication administration, and leading CD education groups to promote recovery and safety within the facility. Texas RN licensure is required and prior exposure to 12-step programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years nursing experience.
• Valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state of employment.
• Experience with a 12-step program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document client health and communicate observations with physicians.
• Coordinate admissions and obtain admission orders from physicians.
• Monitor client self-administration of medication.
• Promote health restoration, patient and family education, and advocacy.
• Maintain infection control and employee health protocols.
• Coordinate with nursing leadership to report department activity and plans.
• Serve as house supervisor in absence of other staff.
• Lead CD education groups and assist with trainings.
• Coordinate lab work and referrals as needed.
