Job summary

Promises Behavioral Health, part of the Advanced Recovery Systems family, seeks a licensed vocational nurse for the Promises DFW program in Lewisville, TX. You will oversee daily nursing operations, perform assessments, manage medications, and provide direct client care within a behavioral health setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited LVN/LPN program, a minimum of 1 year in behavioral health or residential detox, and current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited LVN/LPN program, required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality client care through assessment and monitoring.
• Coordinates admissions with Admissions Department and obtains orders.
• Monitors client self-administration of medication.
• Promotes restoration of health and serves as client advocate.
• Maintains infection control and adheres to regulatory standards.
• Coordinates with nursing leadership to keep updated on dept. activities.
• Coordinates lab work, venipuncture and medical appointments.
