Perkins School for the Blind, located in Watertown, MA, seeks a Program Nurse to provide nursing care, health assessments, and care coordination for Lower School students. You will work closely with the Nurse Practitioner and physicians to deliver comprehensive health services in a school setting.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing and an RN license with experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
Formación
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university.
- Valid RN license with two years' experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
- Massachusetts RN license required.
Responsabilidades
- Performs health assessments and nursing diagnosis in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner and physician.
- Coordinate healthcare with educational, residential, and clinical staff for student needs.
- Maintain comprehensive health histories for admissions and develop medical education plans.
- Supervise designated residential staff in medication administration and related tasks.
- Communicate with students and families to coordinate healthcare.
