Job summary

Promises Behavioral Health, part of the Advanced Recovery Systems family, is seeking a Program Nurse (LPN) to join Promises DFW in Lewisville, TX. This role supports nursing operations, medication management and direct client care within our behavioral health program.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care, assess clients, and coordinate admissions and treatment plans in a busy detox/rehabilitation environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited LVN/LPN program, required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality client care through assessment, monitoring and communication with physicians and treatment team.
• Coordinates admissions with Admissions Department and obtains admission orders from physicians.
• Monitors client self-administration of medication.
• Promotes restoration of health, client and family education and acts as client advocate.
• Maintains infection control/employee health program and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates with Nursing leadership to keep informed of departmental activities and developments.
• Functions as house supervisor in absence of supervisory staff.
• Leads CD education groups and coordinates lab work and medical appointments.

At our rehab center, Promises DFW in Lewisville, TX (part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex), treatment for addictions is designed to guide individuals through different phases of recovery with clarity and intention. Rather than focusing only on stopping substance use, our addiction treatment approach supports long-term change by helping individuals rebuild stability, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with a sense of purpose.

Job Summary

Position Description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the daily operations of the nursing department are maintained to promote quality of care to clients through assessment, medication management and direct client care.

Essential Functions

• Delivers quality client care through assessment, monitoring and communicating observations and findings with physicians and other members of the treatment team.
• Coordinates admissions with Admissions Department and obtains admission orders from physicians.
• Monitors Client self-administration of medication
• Promotes restoration of health, client and family education and serves as a client advocate
• Maintains and adheres to established infection control/employee health program
• Maintains compliance to all TRS policies and procedures, as well as, all state and accreditation standards.
• Coordinates with Corporate Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and Executive Director to keep all informed of current departmental activities, plans, and developments through both oral and written reports
• Functions as a "house supervisor" in absence of other supervisory staff.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provides detox assessments, history and physical reports
• Develops detox treatment
• Coordinates emergency medical care for medical and psychiatric emergencies.
• Ensures that documentation on all clients meets company and regulatory standards
• Leads CD education groups
• Attends monthly staff meetings and required trainings
• Serves on various organizational teams/committees and consults with departments as needed.
• Coordinates lab work with venipuncture and medical appointments and referrals.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited LVN/LPN program, required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Certifications

• Current, valid LVN or LPN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year experience in behavioral health or residential detoxification program setting is required.
