Job summary

The Bronx Community Justice Center, a project of the Center for Justice Innovation, is seeking a Program Manager, Youth Initiatives to lead workforce development, youth organizing, arts-based and therapeutic programs in the Bronx.

Reporting to the Director, Bronx Community Justice Center, you will oversee a range of youth initiatives, supervise staff, develop partnerships, and advance anti-racist, youth-led programming with grant reporting and fundraising responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of youth work experience or LMSW with 3 years youth programs experience preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and guiding teams.
• Commitment to social justice and inclusive, anti-racist environments.
• Strong knowledge of the Bronx and its communities.
• Experience with community organizing, placemaking, youth workforce development and/or restorative justice.
• Excellent written skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop the vision for youth initiatives at the BxCJC.
• Manage program planning, systems implementation, project oversight, and grant reporting.
• Develop and launch a range of new youth initiatives.
• Oversee an interdisciplinary team of youth initiatives staff.
• Facilitate youth programs and develop a youth leadership pipeline.
• Support individual youth participants with advocacy and crisis intervention.
• Develop youth career pipeline strategies including partnerships.
• Oversee media and arts-based projects within programs.
• Contribute to strategic planning and program development.
• Assist with grant writing and fundraising and ensure deliverables are met.
