Job summary

Textron Systems in Wilmington, MA, is seeking a Program Manager to own critical scope within a growing program and drive successful execution across cross-functional teams.

The role requires excellent organization, communication skills, and a hands-on, action-oriented approach. The successful candidate will mentor other project managers and collaborate with suppliers and customers to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline is required or preferred.
• 8 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in Program Management.
• Willingness to hands-on manage and drive timely execution across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and solve ambiguous problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with engineering, contracts, finance, scheduling, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial, technical, and schedule requirements to deliver products on time and within cost.
• Develop and present formal briefs to internal and external senior leaders; lead internal dry runs.
• Apply Earned Value techniques to monitor the Performance Measurement Baseline.
• Perform CAM responsibilities for budget, costs, variance analysis, and forecasts.
• Zero in on IMS critical paths and create actionable plans for on-time completion.
• Manage Risks & Opportunities for assigned scope.
• Interface with suppliers and Textron Systems’ procurement to communicate program updates.
• Collaborate with customer program managers and communicate progress.
• Lead proposal generation and submittal to customers.
• Mentor Project Managers.
