Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Program Manager – Water Infrastructure in Atlanta, GA to oversee large capital programs in water infrastructure and transportation. You will lead multi-project delivery, manage resources, budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance and quality across projects.

The role requires extensive experience in multi-project delivery, client relations, and reporting, with on-site presence up to 3 days weekly as dictated by the client.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years professional experience with 10+ years in project or program management
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Professional registration (PE, AICP, RA, RLA) desired; PMP or CCM within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage development and implementation of large capital improvement programs (~$1.0B).
  • Serve as primary point of contact with the public agency.
  • Oversee a multi-disciplinary program management delivery team.
  • Coordinate resources, budgets, schedules and ensure successful deliverables across projects.
  • Lead risk management, change management and quality assurance.
  • Support financial tracking and ensure sustainable margins.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and respond to feedback and change requests.

Skills

Overview

We are seeking a Program Manager – Water Infrastructure to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all dimensions of large capital improvement programs in water infrastructure or transportation projects including federal regulatory compliance, infrastructure rehabilitation, capacity expansion and environmental protection.

Your role
  • Oversee and manage the development and implementation of large capital improvement programs of $1.0B.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the public agency.
  • Responsible for the oversight of a multi-disciplined program management delivery team.
  • Coordinates resources, budgets, schedules, and ensures successful deliverables across projects.
  • Ideal candidate would have worked with or has prior experience with large water/wastewater public agencies or large CIP public programs.
  • Manage program planning, execution, and reporting for multiple programs.
  • Coordinate internal/external resources for program success.
  • Lead risk management, change management, and quality assurance.
  • Support financial tracking and ensure sustainable margins.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, acting on feedback and change requests.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting program management best practices or centers of excellence within an engineering organization.
  • Willingness to report onsite to the client's location up to 3 days per week, as client dictates.
About you
  • 15+ years professional experience; 10+ years in project or program management, including substantial experience with multi-project delivery.
  • Experience developing best practice reporting and monitoring capabilities through development of standardized reports and dashboards focused on project delivery and program management.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Graduate degree preferred, MBA a plus.
  • Professional registration in field of practice is desired, or required where applicable (e.g., PE, AICP, RA, RLA).
  • Certification as PMP or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) desired within one year of hire.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $175,000 - $185,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
