Job summary

Just Transition Fund seeks a Program Manager to lead the Transition Exchange, coordinating convenings, learning resources, and storytelling for community-led economic development. You will work closely with the Director and external consultants to implement field-building strategies and ensure alignment with JTF goals.

Responsibilities include planning annual and regional convenings, developing agendas, recruiting speakers, and engaging grantees. Travel of 20-25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in nonprofit program management, economic development, community development, philanthropy, or a related field.
• Experience working with rural, Tribal, energy, or economically transitioning communities.
• Passion for community-led economic development.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, specifically when managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Comfortable with CRM systems, spreadsheets, and virtual meeting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and implementation of Transition Exchange field-building efforts.
• Serve as internal project manager for annual in-person convenings and regional events.
• Coordinate with external event planning consultants for timely, high-quality convenings.
• Support the Director with agenda development, speaker recruitment, and session design.
• Coordinate communications among speakers, facilitators, partners, and attendees; assist onsite as needed.
• Support grantee community of practice development and dissemination of learning resources.
