Job summary

San Diego Unified School District seeks a Program Manager for Teaching and Learning assigned to support the Visual and Performing Arts department. The role coordinates special projects, supports instructional initiatives, and collaborates across departments to ensure college and career readiness for all students.

Requirements include a master’s degree in education with at least five years of related experience, plus a California Administrative Services Credential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education and minimum of five years of recent, directly related teaching and/or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage special projects within the assigned department, including academic and behavioral interventions and supports.
• Facilitate cross departmental functions, communication, and collaboration to support effective implementation of key instructional initiatives leading to college and career readiness for all students.
• Collaborate with all departments within the Instructional Branch to support and facilitate implementation of Common Core State Standards, Curriculum Development and alignment, and Professional Development; develop and align assessments, and communicate and engage with staff and parents.
• Coordinate and manage district initiatives for evidence-based academics and behavior intervention and support; vet materials and resources; coordinate implementation and professional development; monitor and review data to determine effectiveness.
• Develop, review and monitor policies, procedures, and programs related to teaching and learning; provide analysis and advice regarding strengths as well as trends or issues and recommend appropriate action for improvement or correction.
