Job summary

The University of Maryland invites applications for a 12-month, renewable, full-time Program Manager to join the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) NRCCO in College Park, MD. The role leads development and distribution of educational resources, manages outreach projects, and coordinates national workshops and conferences.

Travel is required; collaborates with NRCCO, UMD colleagues, and national SARE partners.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree; three years of professional program management or higher education experience; substitutions allowed on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of education.
Strong communication, facilitation, organizational and time-management skills; ability to work in a semi-remote, collaborative team.
Technical proficiency with software, cloud-based tools, and digital content management; excellent attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develops print and digital educational resources from concept to distribution.
Leads outreach strategy and advises on social media and digital communication approaches.
Coordinates workshops and meetings, including logistics, materials, and speaker management.
Collaborates with NRCCO and national SARE groups to develop content for publications and online resources.
