Program Manager, SPS Vendor Management - Remote

Job Description

The Program Manager, State Public Sector (SPS) Vendor Management role is responsible for leading support for Prime’s SPS line of business within Prime’s Vendor Lifecycle Management (VLM) team. The Program Manager will act as the primary VLM point of contact for SPS, understanding and fulfilling client requirements, developing vendor program strategies, managing SPS-related projects, supporting vendor diversity initiatives, and providing analytics and reporting to enable success.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and document SPS client contractual requirements for Prime suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for VLM support of SPS.
  • Lead vendor responses to RFPs, inquiries, and attestations.
  • Manage VLM team involvement in client audits and assessments.
  • Create and implement vendor strategies to optimize SPS suppliers and reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate with VLM department to support contracting, risk, and performance services for SPS vendors.
  • Manage major SPS vendor contracting projects.
  • Develop vendor spend reporting processes for SPS vendors.
  • Support the creation of a supplier diversity program across SPS and the enterprise.
  • Research, outreach, and develop opportunities to grow the supplier diversity program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare, PBM, Medicaid, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare consulting.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, including with senior leadership.
  • Ability to build and manage programs.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and build cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts and RFPs.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
  • Experience leading a supplier diversity program.
  • Project management skills or PMP certification.
  • 5+ years in business operations, sourcing, procurement, or vendor management.
  • Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare.
Physical Demands
  • Up to 20% travel.
  • Constant sitting, talking, hearing; frequent reaching; occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Visual acuity required.

All employees must adhere to security responsibilities and legal, regulatory, and internal policies.

Salary range: $66,000 - $106,000 based on experience.
