Job summary

The Maryland Department of the Environment's Air and Radiation Administration seeks a Program Manager Senior I to lead the Air Quality Planning Program. You will direct planning and regulation development divisions, oversee staffing and budgets, and represent the program at stakeholder meetings.

You will supervise skilled professionals and coordinate responses to environmental laws, regulations, and litigation, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 30 credits in engineering, biology, environmental or physical sciences or Environmental Law/Public Policy.
• Six years of experience supervising professional staff in environmental field or as an environmental project manager.
• Experience implementing environmental programs under state and federal laws including the Clean Air Act.
• Experience managing environmental programs or divisions with professional staff supervision.
