University of Baltimore seeks a Program Manager for the Second Chance College Program responsible for overseeing academic activities, admissions, financial aid, and advising for program students both on campus and at Jessup Correctional Institution. The Program Manager will manage the academic activities for the University of Baltimore’s Second Chance College Program. The role involves managing on-site and on-campus operations and serving as a key point of contact for prison leadership. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for addressing issues that arise with regard to the academic experience for program students from academic formulation to matriculation and student progression. This position will engage with college students at the prison, justice-impacted students on campus, correctional staff, university faculty, program staff, UBalt administrative staff, and other stakeholders to effectively deliver a high-quality college program as part of the University of Baltimore’s Second Chance College Program. The Program Manager will work both on campus and on-site at JCI to implement academic programming, including involvement with admissions, financial aid, enrollment, and academic advising for program students. Working collaboratively with various university departments, including the Center for Justice Impacted Students and its reentry services, will be a key responsibility and an essential component of operating the program. The Program Manager through the Second Change College Program and the Center for Justice Impacted Students will oversee the support of students throughout their academic journey, from enrollment through graduation, both inside the facility and on campus. Additionally, key responsibilities will include supervising program support staff, student workers, interns, and volunteers. Since the role requires both working on campus and at Jessup Correctional Institution, a criminal background check is required as a condition of employment.
