Science Systems and Applications, Inc (SSAI) Job Opening: Program Manager

SSAI is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to lead efforts supporting NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The PM will be responsible for directing, monitoring, and controlling all aspects of contract performance to ensure projects and tasks are completed within schedule and budget.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Interfacing with customers to gather project requirements and providing performance feedback.
2. Developing project plans that specify goals, strategies, staffing, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation.
3. Approving recruitment and assignments of project personnel.
4. Supervising Group Managers and PMO staff.
5. Reporting to the COO and customer personnel on contract matters.
6. Ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
7. Participating in SSAI's senior management activities, including business development, strategic planning, mentoring, and community engagement.

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA in physical sciences, mathematics, or engineering with 15+ years of professional experience managing large teams involved in science, engineering, and technology support.
• Experience in contract administration, project planning, personnel management, and progress reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a government contracting environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• MS/MA with 15+ years of experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of NASA/GSFC science and engineering organizations and project management standards.
• Experience with portfolio management, strategic planning, risk mitigation, earned value management, and performance-based contracting.
• Experience in NASA contracting and proposal development.
• PMP certification is desirable.

Physical Requirements:
