Job summary

Terracon seeks a senior leader to drive organizational growth and roofing services within the Texas Division. You will develop the roofing construction management practice, establish milestones, and oversee staffing, hiring, and training across projects.

The role requires extensive experience in roofing project management, safety, client relations, and business development. You will coordinate with stakeholders to expand opportunities regionally and potentially nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in building science or related field or 24+ years of related experience.
• RRC, RWC, LEED AP, APR certifications or equivalent.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer (APR) program completion or eligibility.
• Master’s degree preferred.

• Develop growth plans and milestones for the Texas Division.
• Lead roofing project management across facilities and service lines.
• Coordinate staffing, hiring, onboarding, and training.

Job description

• Develop a plan for organizational growth supporting roofing services across the Texas Division
• Develop roofing construction management practice in the Texas Division
• Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual milestones with regular progress check-ins
• Coordinate opportunities in adjacent states and potentially develop the role into a national position
• Identify and lead Texas roofing professionals, conduct a SWOT analysis, and develop a first-year hiring and training strategy within the first two months
• Support hiring through job descriptions, recruiters, and interviews
• Monitor staff skills and availability, delegate project responsibility, and serve as roofing Subject Matter Expert and Authorized Project Reviewer
• Lead staffing plans, recruitment, selection, onboarding, growth plans, cross-training, and sub-practice leadership
• Prepare and execute annual roofing-services business plans
• Perform business and client development, build client relationships, and develop business-development plans
• Develop roofing project profiles, service sell sheets, databases, and lunch-and-learn presentations
• Lead roofing safety practices, certifications, lifesaving absolutes, site-safety check-ins, and safety coaching
• Monitor Texas roofing projects for schedule, client requirements, and company standards
• Lead large and complex project management across Facilities practice areas and Service Lines
• Define project scopes, schedules, budgets, proposals, estimates, forecasts, resources, staffing, and contractors
• Lead client and stakeholder interactions, project planning, meetings, reporting, quality monitoring, and risk management
• Coordinate Authorized Project Reviewers and accounting for financial management, invoicing, and collections
• Coach and mentor project staff and resolve operational problems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in building science or related building field and 20 years’ experience in facility assessment, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 24 years’ related experience
• Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC), and at least one other relevant certification (RBEC, BECxP, LEED AP) or equivalent
• Service Line Director Committee approval
• Successful completion of the Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer (APR) program; qualified to enroll after two years of employment
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer within two years
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required
• Master’s degree preferred
