Job summary

TSC’s Research and Development group in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mid-Level Program Manager to oversee mid-level programs or serve as deputy program manager on complex programs. You will work on RF, analog, high-speed digital, embedded software and firmware efforts, and build relationships with Government program offices and public sector customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in project/program management or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Demonstrated expertise in program management with government hardware experience.
• Experience in vendor or subcontractor management.
• Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office products; capable of creating PowerPoint briefings, Excel schedules, and Word documents.

Responsibilities

• Establish baseline funding, spend plan, and milestones at program kickoff.
• Develop low-level task schedules with technical staff.
• Track program spending and milestone completion against baselined plans.
• Identify programmatic risks with cross-functional teams.
• Manage risk mitigation across the program.
• Ensure schedules meet customer objectives and milestones.
• Manage customer expectations on cost, schedule, and technical aspects.
• Report health and status during reviews and briefs.
• Provide cross-functional leadership to meet requirements and timelines.
• Oversee materials purchasing and inventory.
• Manage part obsolescence and coordinate with contract manufacturers.
• Support hardware demos and technical discussions with customers.
• Capture management of new opportunities with existing customers.
• Support business development into new markets/customers.
• Track potential programs and cultivate relationships with customers.
