Program Manager - Process Improvement

Program Manager - Process Improvement

Location: Orange, CT

Salary: $114,300 - $142,900

Schedule: On Site - Office

Scope of Work:

Responsible for creating, standardizing, improving, and developing Network Processes to optimize productivity, cost, safety, and quality across all Avangrid companies.

This position reports to the Manager of Process Improvement & Standardization within the Process & Systems group of the Process and Technology (P&T) business area.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and analyze existing processes, identifying points of convergence and divergence.
  2. Develop standardized procedures for energy and gas operations, maintenance, and supply activities.
  3. Research and implement industry best practices for efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  4. Coordinate with departments to ensure effective process implementation.
  5. Develop and deliver training on new standardized procedures.
  6. Manage change processes and cultural adaptation for new procedures.
  7. Create and maintain detailed process documentation.
  8. Implement quality assurance systems for process effectiveness.
  9. Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  10. Ensure processes comply with industry regulations and standards.
  11. Conduct risk assessments to mitigate safety and compliance issues.
  12. Calculate and analyze ROI for projects and investments.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in program/project/process management.
  • Strong knowledge of energy utility inspection and maintenance processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • General knowledge of Gas/Electric Utility sector.

Preferences:

  • Black Belt 6 Sigma Certification or knowledge of 6 Sigma methodology.
  • Change Management Practitioner Certification or knowledge of Change Management.
  • Project Management Certification or knowledge of project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Minitab, and statistical tools.
