Winchester in Independence, MO seeks a Program Manager for the Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) Equipping to lead a team of project managers and engineers through program execution and beyond.

The role directs cross-functional activities, ensures schedules, budgets, and customer commitments are met, and develops programs aligned with organizational goals. Travel is <10% and DoD clearance is preferred.

Program Manager - NGSW Equipping (New Generation Squad Weapon)

Location: Independence, MO Salary: $144,200 - $160,000 Schedule: 980 schedule Relocation Available - preference will be given to local candidates.

Focus:

We are seeking a Program Manager - Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) Equipping to lead a team of project managers and engineers through successful program execution and beyond. This role will provide strategic direction, coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure program requirements, schedules, budgets and customer commitments are achieved.

Essential Job Functions:

• Direct all program activities from program startup, execution, and completion to ensure the achievement of planned sales, profit, and on - time delivery.
• Monitor projects and oversee project managers to ensure organizational goals are met.
• Devise new programs that support the organization's objectives.
• Develop budgets and plans for programs, ensure attainment of cost, quality, and schedule performance.
• Ongoing evaluation and assessment of the programs' performance and progress.
• Meet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals.
• Interpret and manage programs to ensure compliance with Customer contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present reports and presentations to internal and external customers as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree*; preferably in Engineering, Business Administration/Management, Technical, or related field. Minimum 5+ years in project or program management. Demonstrated leadership and communications skills. Superior analytical, organizational, problem-solving, leadership and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), presentation and facilitation skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure. Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Experience in ammunition manufacturing preferred. Some travel required, less than 10%. Location-Specific Requirements: Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Level DoD clearance is preferred. Must have a valid US Driver's License. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required. This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
