Job summary

Nak Nu We Sha Program Manager position within the Department of Human Services of the Yakama Nation is responsible for coordinating direct services to children and families, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with tribal and federal child welfare laws. The role requires leadership, budgeting, training, and collaboration across agencies to promote child safety and family reunification.

The candidate will oversee staff, manage budgets, and develop policies to support tribal child welfare

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with five years management experience in Social Work.
  • Background check and CPS history check required; CPS history check every two years.
  • Must be able to travel as necessary.
  • Drug test required prior to employment.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License with Yakama Nation Driving Permit.
  • Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants encouraged to apply.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work preferred for advanced practice and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate direct services to children and families.
  • Provide oversight and supervision for case workers.
  • Complete staff evaluations annually.
  • Coordinate and implement in-service training for Nak Nu We Sha staff and related resources.
  • Oversee budgeting and monthly accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with ICW Act and related laws.
  • Develop and implement programs to meet organizational goals.
  • Lead and manage staff delivering Children’s services.
  • Collaborate with departments and agencies to maintain timely information flow.
  • Develop and implement policy and procedure manuals for Nak Nu We Sha.
