Job summary

Werfen is seeking a seasoned Project/Program Manager to lead small to mid-size product development programs in its Bedford, MA facility. You will supervise cross-functional teams, manage schedules, budgets, and risk, and act as Product Owner for Agile teams within the program.

Applicants should have a BS in a STEM field, 7 years in PM (or 5 in product development), and exposure to medical instrumentation. Strong leadership, communication, and design control experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM field (engineering, chemistry, physics, etc.).
• Minimum of 7 years in project management or 5 years in product development.
• Experience in design and development of medical instrumentation desirable.
• Certification in project management or program management is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and team leadership to one or more small project team(s) or a program team, including planning, scheduling, and technical leadership within the program area. Drive the successful attainment of program/project goals.
• Plan and schedule project activities and manage resources, defining scope, milestones, and estimates.
• Lead regular status reviews and ensure deliverables are completed and documented; manage changes within approved boundaries.
• Assume the role of Product Owner for Agile teams within the program; define story requirements and approve deliverables at Sprint demos.
• Coordinate risk assessment and mitigation plans; identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Marketing, and other functions to support product changes and launches.
