Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a Program Manager responsible for the personnel, operational, and financial management of assigned programs to ensure the delivery of competent and compassionate clinical care and support for research and clinical education.

The role involves supervising program operations, developing budgets, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to establish collaborative programs. Partial remote work is available with some travel to off-site clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent, with 5 years of experience in program management.
• Preferred experience in healthcare and/or academic institutions.

Job Summary:

The Program Manager is accountable for the personnel, operational, and financial management of assigned program(s) to ensure the delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient clinical care and promotion of research and clinical education.

Job Duties:

• Oversees and supervises all business and administrative activities relating to program operations and budget.
• Provides leadership for the program and promotes teamwork.
• Serves as a liaison between institutional departments and local area groups to assess need and develop project plans and budgets.
• Coordinates all joint operations for the program with both internal and external sources. Works with other campus departments to establish collaborative programs.
• Prepares and monitors budgets to ensure services are provided in a cost-effective manner.
• Evaluates services to maintain compliance with contracts.
• Reviews existing contracts for renewal.
• Facilitates development of goals, performance standards, and objectives of the program.
• Works with other campus departments to establish collaborative programs.
• Responsible for identifying and evaluating the need for new equipment, supplies, communication services, and information services for all areas of the program.
• Initiates implementation plans for new projects and services within the program.
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
• Performs related duties as required.

Salary Range:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

Partial remote, to be determined by the department. Some travel to off-site clinics will be required. 8 am to 5 pm and as needed on occasion.
