Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a program supervisor to lead opioid-use disorder education initiatives and community outreach. The role includes supervising LOFT staff, coordinating services, and ensuring program budgets and reporting are on track.

The candidate will promote recovery, liaise with providers, and help sustain funding while maintaining a safe, supportive work environment for staff and peers.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or higher required.
  • Active Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor certificate from GA (CADCI, CADCII, CACII, MAC).
  • 3 years of professional experience in behavioral health, focusing on residential services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee educational opportunities on opioid issues.
  • Coordinate efforts to reduce stigma and increase access to services.
  • Supervise LOFT staff and ensure community engagement and reporting.
  • Manage program budget and ensure operations align with OUD treatment goals.
  • Ensure safe and healthy working environment and pursue funding opportunities.

Highland Rivers provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness; substance use disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The goal of this program is to provide supports, including community education and recovery language, that are critical to individuals seeking recovery from an Opioid Use Disorder.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee educational opportunities that are specific to the opioid issue.
  • Ensure opportunities are designed to decrease the stigma of OUD and increase knowledge and access to services.
  • Develop and supervise activities that include social support, linkage to and coordinating among service providers, eliminating barriers to entering treatment.
  • Provide direct management and oversight to LOFT staff.
  • Ensure that the program is well represented in the community and engages within the community for support.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the program operates within budget at all times.
  • Ensures that the operations are specific to treating OUD.
  • Constantly seeks ways to ensure continued funding from the department and additional supportive funding from community organizations.
  • Provides a safe and healthy working environment for peers to encourage long term recovery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma, Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Criminology, or a related field of study .
  • Active Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor certificate from the State of Georgia - CADCI, CADCII, CACII, MAC.
  • 3 years of professional experience in behavioral health, specifically focusing on residential community services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Criminology, or a related field of study.
  • Active license - LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • 3 or more years’ experience with residential community services.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
