Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health seeks a dedicated team member to support youth ages 13–18 in a Substance Use Clubhouse setting in Rome, GA. You will help youth engage in recovery services, coordinate plans with CORE providers, and assist transitions across care levels within a supportive, family-inclusive environment.

The role emphasizes crisis support, documentation, and collaboration with multiple agencies. Equal opportunity employer; pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Criminology, or related field.
• At least one year of professional behavioral health or SUD experience preferred.
• Criminal background check clearance, official transcripts, valid driver’s license, drug screen, TB test, and an eligible 7-year MVR.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist youth with service needs, developing strategies and supportive networks and coordinating rehabilitation services as per the consumer’s recovery plan.
• Partner with the individual and CORE services provider in developing the individual service plan.
• Assist the individual with transitioning between levels of care and connect with other agencies to secure resources.
• Provide crisis support and monitoring as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with youth, families, and coworkers.
• Complete paperwork, ensure eligibility criteria are met, and manage caseloads and chart records.

Job Summary: TheSubstance Use Clubhouses at Highland Rivers Behavioral Health provides a fun and safe environment for youth ages 13 to 18 to hang out, socialize and learn without pressure or the temptations of substance use, and provides comprehensive services to engage youth as well as their families in their recovery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist youth with service needs, developing strategies and supportive, social support networks and coordinating rehabilitation services as specified in the consumer’s individual recovery plan.
• Partner with the individual and CORE services provider in the development of the individual service plan.
• Assist the individual with the transitioning between levels of care. Link and serve as advocate with other agencies to garner needed resources for consumers.
• Provides assistance and support in crisis situations.
• Provides assessment, monitoring, and assistance to individuals.
• Establishes professional and ethical relationships with youth, families, and coworkers
• Provides direct service to individuals; completes all necessary paperwork according to policy; ensures individual meet eligibility criteria or refers to appropriate provider in the community.
• Manages a caseload by ensuring all services are authorized, chart paperwork is complete and current, and consumer charts are closed according to policy.
• Sees a caseload at the frequency defined in the service plan; documents attempt to contact individuals and ISP reviews; completes monthly caseload reports; track appointments and case management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Criminology, or a related field of study.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder services is preferred.
• Criminal background check clearance, official academic transcripts, valid driver’s license/ID, drug screen, TB test, and an eligible 7-year Motor Vehicle Report.
• Bilingual abilities a plus.
