Job summary

Danville Services in Vermont is seeking a Program Manager to lead our Direct Support team, oversee daily program operations, and foster a positive, empowering environment for staff and the individuals we serve.

You’ll supervise DSPs, coordinate scheduling, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and handle safety drills, client health, and community engagement, delivering high-quality care and strong program outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus at least 1 year of direct support experience.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
• Must pass an initial background check upon hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with client transfers.
• Basic fluency in written and spoken English, basic keyboarding/computer skills.
• First Aid/ CPR certification preferred or SOAR trained (or willing to complete).

Responsibilities

• Lead and train Direct Support Professionals to promote high morale, retention, and quality care.
• Provide hands-on direct support alongside the team to maintain safe ratio levels.
• Actively recruit, interview, and onboard new team members.
• Monitor staffing schedules, manage vacancies, and oversee payroll and overtime.
• Oversee program compliance, regulatory documentation, and safety checklists.
• Manage program budgets, logs, and routine maintenance requests for homes and vehicles.
• Handle emergency calls outside of regular shifts and respond to crises.
