Job Summary

Xavier University of Louisiana is accepting applications for a full‑time position of LA-CEAL Program Manager. The program manager will oversee the Louisiana Community‑Engagement Research Alliance Against COVID‑19 in Disproportionately Affected Communities (LA‑CEAL) program across Xavier’s consortium partners, including Tulane University and community partners. Responsibilities include providing program support to LA‑CEAL investigators, coordinating community engagement and fieldwork training, overseeing fieldwork operations, collecting and monitoring data quality, tracking program progress, reporting to NIH leadership, monitoring program expenditures, and coordinating committee support.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required and 4 years of directly related work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Fields including Public Health, Health Education, Health Promotion, or affiliated fields, with 1‑2 years of prior experience developing wellness initiatives.
  • Prior work experience in community engagement with partners or stakeholders and passion for diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of current trends in chronic disease management.
  • Experience creating or researching health and wellness materials and marketing wellness events.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, time management, and public speaking skills.
  • Availability to work weekends and evenings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, and materials‑design software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fieldwork training and oversight: coordinate training for staff and student workers on protocols, sampling, recruitment, data collection, and community engagement; monitor progress and quality; maintain inventory; report to investigators and committees.
  • Participant recruitment and data collection: manage study protocols, coordinate recruitment, collect and enter survey data, maintain data quality, and track engagement activities.
  • Support program administration: prepare regulatory documents, monitor deliverables, manage budget and expenditure reports, ensure compliance, coordinate CAB meetings and community initiatives.
  • Create health promotion outreach (flyers, newsletters, email, social media) in collaboration with the Office of Marketing and Communications.
  • Coordinate and support LA‑CEAL committees and community partner engagement: schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, facilitate communication, serve as liaison, and assist with electronic newsletters.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.
