Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex product development programs in a global environment. You will manage project scope, timing, budgets, and cross‑functional teams across sites to deliver on time and within cost targets.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers, defining specifications, and ensuring DFMA and capacity planning are applied throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four-year university with 4+ years related experience and/or training within the connector industry, preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical product drawings
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of management
• Ability to effectively manage customer communication and expectations
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
• Should have knowledge and skills using:
• Project Management software
• Spreadsheet software (Excel)
• Word Processing software (Word)
• Presentation software (PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate and relate with project teams in each region of the world.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision and provide updates on project status where issues or problems can be reviewed, discussed and resolved.
• Root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project and team; define scope and objectives; ensure steps are completed.
• Interface with customer on status, schedule, and requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across sites during product development.
• Schedule and run internal team meetings to keep projects on schedule.
• Coordinate internal and external suppliers for timely actions.
• Frequent updates to management on resource needs.
• Define product specs and scope aligned with market/customer needs.
• Align projects with financial objectives; handle capital requests and costing; manage scope creep.
• Accelerate decisions to optimize time to market/volume/profitability.
• Apply DFM principles during development.
• Ensure capacity planning across phases to meet demand.
• Provide regular project updates to management.
• Set up systems for ordering and manufacturing.
• Identify and mitigate risks using risk-reduction tools.
