Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Program Manager III for Cloud Capacity Planning in Kirkland, WA. You will lead multi-disciplinary efforts across Google Cloud infrastructure, coordinating requirements, schedules, risks, and cross-functional collaboration to scale capacity across offices and time zones.

As a senior PM, you’ll drive end-to-end project lifecycles, mentor junior team members, and own planning in a fast-paced environment with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience in capacity planning.
• Experience with technical environments such as google cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust technical processes to scale Cloud’s resource management.
• Maintain analytics to understand obscured problems, propose data-driven solutions, support proposed solutions, and own and manage the execution.
• Have stewardship of regional health of Cloud's availability zones across the globe. Manage complexity, cost, and risk in partnership with cross-functional stakeholder teams across SREs, Devs, PMs, Supply Chain, Planning and Efficiency.
• Manage hardware lifecycle for GCPs machines in both Google-owned Data Centers as well as Colocation facilities.
• Prioritize and manage capacity to ensure GCP's external customers can scale by ensuring the right type of machines are available in the right place at the right time.

• Knowledge of the tools and elements of project management. Firm sense of accountability and ownership for the end-to-end project lifecycle.
• Ability to use project management techniques to drive physical or development tasks to completion.
• Aptitude for quantitative assessment and analysis across multiple technical disciplines.
