Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager II for Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) in Tempe, AZ. You will lead configuration changes across transportation platforms, manage milestones, and drive data-driven improvements.

Responsibilities include end-to-end design changes, root-cause analysis, automation, and analytics to optimize package flows. You will communicate with senior leaders, document SOPs and playbooks, and contribute to quarterly business reviews.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.

As a Program Manager on the Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team, you will learn how Amazon's proprietary transportation systems make decisions to move packages from the fulfillment network to customers. You will manage system configuration changes that control those systems, working directly with business leaders and program teams to create new transportation flows and design configurations that execute at scale. In this role, you will execute network design changes, dive deep into package flows, troubleshoot system errors, identify process improvements, and build automation, analytics, and reporting capabilities leveraging AI. You will lead stakeholder meetings, manage projects, and contribute to doc writings for the team.

Basic Qualifications

• - 3+ years of program or project management experience
• - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
• - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
• - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

• - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
• - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
• - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
• - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
