Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager on the Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team in Nashville to learn and optimize how transportation systems move packages. You will manage configuration changes, execute end-to-end network design, and build automation and analytics to drive data-based decisions.

You will collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, troubleshoot system errors, and document SOPs and playbooks for scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of program or project management experience.
• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas).
• Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Manage system configuration changes across Amazon's proprietary transportation systems to support new and existing package flows.
• Track program milestones and communicate status to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Execute network design changes end-to-end, coordinating with business leaders and program teams to ensure timely delivery.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and build automation to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks in system configurations before they impact customers.
• Document processes, standard operating procedures, and configuration playbooks for the team.

Description

As a Program Manager on the Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team, you will learn how Amazon's proprietary transportation systems make decisions to move packages from the fulfillment network to customers. You will manage system configuration changes that control those systems, working directly with business leaders and program teams to create new transportation flows and design configurations that execute at scale. In this role, you will execute network design changes, dive deep into package flows, troubleshoot system errors, identify process improvements, and build automation, analytics, and reporting capabilities leveraging AI.
