Job summary

Messer is seeking a Program Manager II for Metals, Glass & Industrial Manufacturing (MGIM) to lead a high-performing application engineering sales team and drive growth in targeted metals and glass markets. The role partners with marketing and sales to create value-driven proposals and advance strategic plans.

You will help develop long-term strategy, manage annual plans, and collaborate with internal teams to win new business while growing customer relationships and ensuring project execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering (chemical engineering preferred, metallurgy, materials, mechanical acceptable based on professional experience).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in application sales related to industrial gases.
• Experience with oxygen or enhanced combustion for metals melting or manufacturing.
• Experience in technical sales to aerospace and advanced manufacturing customers will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing application engineering sales team with technical expertise and industry knowledge.
• Support development of long-term strategy and annual plans for MGIM.
• Collaborate with marketing to identify trade shows and lead generation opportunities.
• Coach engineers on value-driven proposals and solution selling.
