Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software tools and databases (SimaPro, GaBi, Sphera, Open LCA, LCA for Experts, ecoinvent, etc.).
  • Experience in data center operations or logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in electronics hardware design, manufacturing, data center environments, or supply chain.
  • Experience implementing initiatives on carbon-aware design, circularity, or sustainable manufacturing and operations.
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting standards.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across different time zones such as PST/CST and EMEA/APAC.
About the Role

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities include planning requirements, managing schedules, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams. Projects often span multiple offices and time zones, requiring coordination and clear updates on progress and deadlines.

The Net Zero Data team develops carbon data to support a net zero hardware supply chain, utilizing a life cycle framework to assess emissions and develop mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with the Net Zero Tools and Supplier Engagement teams to provide guidance and insights within the supply chain.

Additional Context

Our Technical Infrastructure team maintains and develops data centers and Google platforms, ensuring optimal network performance. We pride ourselves on engineering innovation and reliability to deliver fast, seamless user experiences.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this position is $126,000-$181,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Details about specific location-based salaries will be shared during hiring. The listed salary reflects the base only; bonuses, equity, and benefits are additional.

Responsibilities
  • Develop process-level life cycle models to evaluate environmental impacts of equipment and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the Tools Team to create solutions assessing fleet-level emissions.
  • Identify environmental hotspots across the hardware life cycle and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders and coordinate with sustainability teams on strategies and joint programs.
  • Lead industry initiatives on standardizing accounting methods and promoting a low-carbon economy.
