Job summary

Insight Global is hiring for a venture-backed, solid-state photonics company developing high-energy laser and directed energy systems for defense applications. The Program Manager will lead end-to-end execution of High Power Microwave programs, translating breakthroughs into fieldable systems and owning cost, schedule, and reporting across multiple development efforts.

The role requires 8+ years in program management for electromagnetic or directed-energy programs, with DoD/DoE contract

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years PM experience delivering complex electromagnetic or directed-energy systems.
• Experience with DoD/DoW and/or DOE customers including contracts and reviews.
• Strong background in RF and microwave systems with related tech exposure.
• Proficiency with PM tools and frameworks (IMS, EVM, risks, WBS).
• Active or ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of High Power Microwave programs.
• Translate laboratory breakthroughs into fieldable systems.
• Own cost, schedule, and reporting across multiple development efforts.
• Collaborate with senior scientists and engineers on design trades.
• Engage with customers and leadership to maintain program cadence.
