The Program Manager, Global Learning & Development (L&D) is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning programs that enhance leadership capability, employee skills, engagement, and performance. This role collaborates with key stakeholders to identify training needs, develop learning strategies, and oversee the execution of programs that align with the organization’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Management System & Technology
• Lead the deployment and learner strategy of ABSORB, Simtra’s Learning Management System (LMS) and e-learning platform to deliver training content effectively.
• Leverage digital learning tools and emerging technologies to enhance training accessibility and engagement.
• Establish and maintain learning solutions in the LMS.
• Monitor and optimize training content and delivery methods based on learner feedback and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to create role-specific and competency learning paths.
• Partner with functional areas to develop and deploy training through the LMS and other channels as appropriate.
Program Development & Delivery
• Design, develop, and implement innovative learning programs that foster employee growth and align with organizational goals.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of L&D initiatives, from needs assessment through to delivery and evaluation, with a strong emphasis on leadership development and essential skill building.
• Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training courses tailored to specific audiences (e.g., DiSC, Insights, team effectiveness workshops).
• Lead the creation of diverse learning initiatives aimed at enhancing skills across all levels of the organization including professional growth, personal effectiveness, and collaborative team dynamics.
• Partner with internal and external trainers, vendors, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and deliver impactful and effective learning solutions that elevate performance and boost employee engagement.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
• Measure and analyze the impact of learning programs through surveys, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve learning initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and innovative learning strategies.
Employee Engagement
• Conduct employee surveys, focus groups, and feedback sessions, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
• Define and track key metrics to measure the success of engagement initiatives; provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership, recommending actionable solutions to address key areas of improvement.
• Oversee the design and execution of surveys and assessments throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience at every stage.
• Collaborate on the development and implementation of both corporate and local engagement initiatives that foster a thriving workplace culture and enhance employee satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or a related field. Master’s a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development or a similar field.
• Experience managing learning management systems; proficiency in ABSORB a plus.
• Experience with e-learning tools, content creation software, or microlearning platforms.
• Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating L&D programs.
• A deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and develop targeted solutions.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and an understanding of learning evaluation models.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels of the organization.
Desired Competencies:
• Proficient in facilitating training sessions and workshops, both in-person and virtually.
• Passionate about personal development, training, learning, and seeing individuals develop to their fullest potential.
• Certification in instructional design or facilitation (e.g., CPLP, ATD, SHRM).
• Knowledge of skill assessments, psychometric assessments, leadership coaching and development frameworks.
• Psychometric or Talent assessment certifications (e.g., DiSC, Insights, StregthsFinder, etc.)
