Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager for Environmental Permitting & Regulatory to lead permitting and regulatory initiatives for mining and pelletizing operations in Northern Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The position reports to the Environmental Director and may be located either at the Forbes office in Northeastern Minnesota or at the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or environmental discipline.
• Experience preparing and submitting environmental permit applications.
• Familiarity with air emission control and water treatment systems for industrial settings.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental permit applications for mining and pelletizing operations across multiple sites.
• Develop procedures for reclamation activities and track financial assurance obligations.
• Monitor evolving environmental regulations and assess their impact on operations; advise site environmental managers.
• Engage with state and federal agencies, trade associations, and other stakeholders on regulatory developments.
