Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) leader for its Florida operations. The role focuses on growing EHS services, guiding staff, and delivering high-quality compliance programs for clients across the division.

Responsibilities include developing growth plans with leadership, collaborating with client development and technical teams, and producing deliverables such as plans, reports and proposals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
  • 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role.
  • PE certification preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher preferred.
  • EHS experience including air permitting, stormwater/SWPPP, RCRA/hazardous waste, compliance auditing, oil storage/SPCC plans, SARA Title III reporting, industrial wastewater, sustainability, exposure monitoring, industrial hygiene evaluations, workplace and operational safety, OSHA compliance evaluations, gap assessments, and health and safety program development

Responsibilities

  • Assess EHS staff capabilities across the Florida Division.
  • Develop EHS Growth Plans with Operational Leadership.
  • Work with Client Development and technical staff to implement Growth Plans.
  • Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables.
  • Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Work with Operations to understand local EHS growth opportunities.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients.
  • Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests.
  • Participate in local and regional marketing strategy development.
  • Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines.
  • Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions enabling clients to achieve and maintain environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Review documents prepared by others for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Train, mentor, and direct staff on projects.
  • Serve as a point of contact for EHS services in the Florida Division.
  • Provide support on regional and national projects and pursuits.
