Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is seeking a Program Manager to lead Legacy Production, New Product Development and IR&D/Engineering programs, ensuring contractual objectives are met and interfacing with customers and government officials.

The ideal candidate has defense industry experience, strong leadership across schedules, budgets, and technical performance, and can operate in a 100% on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in program management and manufacturing operations.
• Fluent verbal and written skills; ability to manage multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
• Monitor status of programs to meet milestones and requirements.
• Coordinate with functions for cause, impact and corrective action.
• Lead IPT to ensure schedule, budget and scope adherence.
• Prepare plans, statements of work and proposals; monitor budgets.
• Act as primary customer contact and chair program meetings.
• Support design concepts and engineering for R&D and integration.
• Develop new business with existing and new customers.
• Identify and implement cost reduction plans and trade studies.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Maintain program data requirements and files; submit VE proposals.
• Conduct program reviews and brief corrective actions.
• Ensure effective inter-department communication; resolve problems.
• Obtain/maintain security clearance.
• Work setting: 100% on-site.
