Qualifications

  • Experience managing people in a matrixed environment preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft 365, Monday.com, Copilot, Project preferred.

Job Description

As a Program Manager, you will manage and oversee all aspects of a customer program to ensure all projects are completed on-time and within budget. Each program will have multiple concurrent projects and you are responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors for each project. You will prepare reports for upper management and customer stakeholders regarding project status as well as contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project. Your work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Responsibilities
  • Directs and manages programs and possibly project managers that may include multiple large and complex project development from beginning to end.
  • Defines and refines program and project scope, goals, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents to identify and manage project timeline, dependencies, and critical path using appropriate tools.
  • Sets, manages, and communicates program and project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with program and project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
  • Estimates resources, participants, and preferred partner vendors needed to achieve program goals.
  • Functions as leader for continuous improvement events and develops employees to be self-sufficient in continuous improvement tools.
  • Aligns activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Performs root cause analysis on gaps, identifies waste, and works with leadership to drive sustainable corrective action.
  • Drafts and submits budget proposals, and recommends subsequent budget changes.
  • Negotiates with other department managers for acquisition of required personnel.
  • Determines and assesses need for additional staff or consultants and makes appropriate staffing adjustments during project cycle.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to subordinate Project Managers and personnel.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within project teams.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Manages changes in project scope, identifies potential concerns, and devises contingency plans.
  • Confers with customers on programs performance and evaluate areas for improvement and expanded services.
  • Administers on-site human resource activities as required.
  • Monitors programs effectiveness and prepares monthly reports, including cost, performance, service quality and improvements.
  • Analyzes supplier performance and makes recommendations on new agreements.
  • Advices and trains employees on methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and delivering of stock material.
  • Reviews program performance metrics with site, including inventory turns, delivery, savings and stockroom fill rates, cost savings and areas for improvement.
  • Monitors account receivables and takes action.
  • Ensures proper implementation, participates in review to verify effectiveness, and identifies opportunities for improvement of quality systems.
  • Responds to audit findings and implements appropriate actions.
  • Coordinates vendor information sharing activities with customer, including new product launch, value-added and cost savings initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ Degree required.
  • 5 years required; 7 years preferred of related experience.
  • 2 years of program management and 5 years of project management experience in directing work in a large-scale program and project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution highly preferred.
  • Prior project management experience with deployment and commissioning of liquid-cooled rack systems and supporting infrastructure projects, including HVAC, heat exchangers, chillers, liquid cooled piping installation preferred.
  • Prior experience with managing people in a matrixed environment and using/developing processes to achieve objectives preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Monday.com, Copilot, Project highly preferred.

Compensation Details

Compensation Details: $89,928 - $152,878 Annually
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
