The City of New York is hiring a Community Coordinator to support the DYCD discretionary contracts process. The role involves reviewing and processing contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with city mandates, and preparing weekly reports for the Senior Director.

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. Under the supervision of the Senior Director, with latitude for the exercise of independent action and decision making, the assigned staff member will receive, review, approve, and process Discretionary contracts for the sum of $5,000 or greater. The assigned staff will ensure accuracy as the Discretionary Quality Control & CD Ops Liaison (e.g., event tracking of completed budgets, insurance, provider diary entries). Prepare and input findings on DYCD databases and provide a weekly update report to the Senior Director of the unit. Assist CBOs that make requests or need technical assistance.
