Job summary

Pony Bird, Inc is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the Community Supports day program in Herculaneum, Missouri, including Baptist Park. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with competitive pay and benefits.

The Program Manager will supervise professional and direct-care staff, develop and implement program procedures, and ensure services align with licensing requirements and individualized service plans while collaborating with the department director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; preferred degree in social/medical/human service fields.
• 4+ years experience with individuals with disabilities; substitution allowed with education/experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor/manager experience.

COMPETITIVE PAY

Hourly Rate: $26.22 to $32.78

(based on direct program manager experience).

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE:

This is a professional administrative and supervisory position. The individual in this position has the responsibility of developing, coordinating, implementing, and supervising the activities of complex community programs to aid in the intellectual, sensory-motor, emotional development, and social development of a specified population of participants with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

The person in this position would be responsible for the day-to-day operations to include managing and supervising professional, direct care, and other personnel in the adaptation of specialized programs; preparing staff summaries; reviewing progress notes; developing program procedures; implementing individualized service plans that adhere to established policies, procedures, and licensure requirements.

Works closely with the Director of the department in developing program needs, negotiating services with vendors, evaluating existing programs, and coordinating service delivery. The Program Manager will be expected to use their own judgment in adapting programs to fit the needs, abilities, and conditions for the individuals supported. Serves as the Director's designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Bachelor's degree in the social, medical, educational, or human service field is preferred.
• Relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. This would include 4 years or more of experience working with individuals with disabilities or a combination of education and experience that equals 4 years or more. Non degreed qualifications are subject for final approval through DMH.
• Must have at least 2 years of supervisor/manager experience.
