Job description

Nemours is seeking Community Impact Program Manager (Full-Time) to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.

The mission of the Dr. Myron L. Rolle Community Outreach at Nemours Children's Health, Orlando is to advance health equity for underserved children and families by working to address and eliminate health and educational disparities through community engagement, research, prevention coordination and collaboration with partners in Central Florida.

The expectations of the Program Manager is to support the mission, goals, and strategic initiatives of the Dr. Myron L. Rolle Community Outreach at Nemours Children Health, Orlando. The Program Manager supports a wide range of health equity programs, educational endeavors, events and funding opportunities to advance child wellbeing in Central Florida. Specific areas of responsibility include strategic planning, strategic program development, knowledge management, management of strategic initiatives, partnerships, programs, measurement, and program evaluation that aligns with Nemours strategy to create the healthiest generation of children.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Myron L Rolle, MD and Nemours Executive Leadership to execute strategic plans across the Nemours Children's Health, Orlando to create the healthiest generation of children.
  • Work in-step with Nemours Community Engagement Team to build on partnerships to expand resources available to Nemours Children's Health patients and families.
  • Determine, develop, and monitor detailed plans for achieving long and short-term goals for events, programs, initiatives, and projects.
  • Establish methods to measure the success of the Community Outreach Program and analyze key metrics and analytics providing monthly updates to executive leadership.
  • Responsible for overseeing the administration and monitoring of multiple programs and various grant initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver verbal and written communications for internal and external audiences.
  • In collaboration with Nemours marketing creates dual branded materials for community outreach.
  • Active member of Ginsburg Institute community advisory board.
  • Active member of the Dr. Myron L. Rolle Community Outreach board.
  • Support leadership in publications, including preparing abstracts & submissions, developing PowerPoints and writing literature reviews and citations for professional papers.
  • Shares community opportunities and resources with other entities at Nemours such as the Ginsburg Institute, IDEA team, and Community Engagement team.
  • Supports the clinical work at the hospital and all ambulatory locations to address SDoH.
  • Serves as a community resource for Nemours associates and providers for available community resources.
  • Engages all health care providers to participate in the Community Outreach initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years managing cross-functional or interdisciplinary teams required.
  • Must have knowledge of core issues related to workforce diversity, equity/health equity, equity/health equity research, change management, large group educational design and facilitation.
  • Demonstrate experience with strategic planning, lean and/or agile methodologies.
  • Must have the ability to manage large-scale projects and/or program teams and the ability to set up, plan, manage, report and communicate projects and direct the completion of projects within proper scope, budget and schedule.
