Peace For DC is seeking a Program Manager/Clinical Supervisor to oversee the HEAL DC program's operations and deliver essential clinical oversight. You will ensure wrap-around services, program efficacy, and adherence to trauma-informed care standards for participants at risk of gun violence.

The role combines program leadership with direct therapeutic services, including weekly therapy, supervision of a small team, and collaboration with community partners to improve outcomes and accountability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling required.
• Must be licensed in the District of Columbia (LICSW, LCPC, or LPC) and in good standing.
• 3–5 years of experience in program management, compliance, and clinical supervision.
• Experience with high-risk or justice-involved populations.
• Ability to develop strategies for effective program management and outcomes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of DC's social services landscape.
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and equity.

About the HEAL DC Program:

HEAL DC (Healthy, Empowered, Achieving Leaders) is a new neighborhood-based life transformation program providing long-term wraparound care and healing for individuals most at risk of involvement in gun violence. Modeled on success in Chicago and incorporating Roca’s Rewire CBT, the program focuses on DC’s most impacted communities.

About Peace For DC’s other programs:

The DC Peace Academy provides advanced, hands-on classes for the professional and personal development of DC’s violence intervention professionals. This is the only program in DC of its kind.

Pathways2Peace teaches Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI) and Restorative Justice skills to teens and young adults, equipping them with real conflict mediation skills to support peace in their schools and communities.

Job Summary:

The Program Manager/Clinical Supervisor provides dual leadership: overseeing the operational implementation of HEAL DC while providing essential clinical oversight and direct therapeutic services. This role ensures program efficacy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality trauma-informed care for participants at high risk of gun violence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program & Operations Management: Lead day-to-day operations, manage budgets, and coordinate the delivery of wrap-around services for the HEAL DC program including case management, employment support, and stipend distribution.
• Clinical Oversight & Direct Care: Provide weekly individual therapy and periodic crisis intervention for a caseload of 10 HEAL DC program participants. Review/approve service plans and progress notes to ensure ethical clinical and professional standards (HIPAA) are met. Facilitates scheduled audits to ensure program and professional compliance.This role also clinically informs the organization's other programs and provides periodic support (presentations/training, review of community trauma resources, etc).
• Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and mentor a small program team, including onboarding and supervising junior therapist interns with the goal that they will eventually assume all direct therapy services across all programs. As needed, facilitate clinical training on trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and self-care. Lead interdisciplinary conferencing and team coordination.
• Data & Partnerships: Monitor program metrics and participant outcomes. Build relationships with community stakeholders and local government agencies to enhance program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling required.
• Must be licensed in the District of Columbia (LICSW, LCPC, or LPC) and in good standing.
• 3-5 years of experience in program management, compliance and clinical supervision, particularly with high-risk or justice-involved populations.
• Experience working with various service populations such as homeless, behavioral health, reentry and other marginalized groups.
• Ability to develop strategies and processes for effective program management aimed at outcome achievement.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Washington, DC’s social services landscape and community resources.
