Umatilla County is seeking a Program Manager for the Clinical Nurse Scholar Program aimed at enhancing nurse retention and skills in continuing care environments. The role involves managing the project lifecycle, developing training materials, and fostering partnerships. Clinical Nurse Scholar Program: The goal of the project is to increase nurse retention rates by providing clinical nurse scholars to work alongside new and novice nurses, international educated nurses, or nurses new to continuing and home care. By leveraging the expertise and guidance of clinical nurse scholars, this project seeks to enhance the confidence, knowledge, and skills of nurses new to continuing care environments.
Reporting to and in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Program Manager (PM) will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Clinical Nurse Scholar Program. The PM will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic and operational priorities for the program, leading work with provincial partners to develop the program in Alberta, and ensuring effective deployment of resources, supporting change management, and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
