Job summary

Harvard Medical School, Boston, invites applications for a Program Manager in the Office for Culture and Community Engagement (OCCE). The role provides planning, implementation, and decision-making support for the annual New England Science Symposium (NESS) and community education efforts, engaging students, faculty and staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in program management, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with educational programs and large-scale events.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in program management, higher education may count.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; scientific knowledge a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and implementation.
  • Commitment to STEM and experience with educational programs and events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop symposium curriculum, agenda, and speakers with senior leadership.
  • Coordinate planning committee meetings and manage communications.
  • Design and implement recruitment, marketing, and event logistics.
  • Review abstracts, coordinate submissions, and track stakeholder involvement.
  • Maintain intake systems for collaborations and match with Harvard faculty.
