Job summary

A creative interdisciplinary program is seeking a Program Manager to oversee Professional Development planning and delivery. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in program design and exceptional project management skills. This role includes developing workshop curriculums, engaging with leadership and participants, and managing relationships with facilitators. Job description

NEW INC is an interdisciplinary program of the New Museum that brings together 100 creative practitioners and entrepreneurs annually from a wide variety of fields across art, design, and technology, promoting an environment of collaboration. The program is considered a global model for a cultural incubator and colleagues and alumni have hailed it as groundbreaking, transformative, and socially impactful. Reports to: Deputy Director, NEW INC

Qualifications and Skills
  • Has 3-5 years of relevant professional experience as a program designer and/or administrator.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience writing program descriptions and/or workshop summaries.
  • Experience with hosting and facilitating hybrid and in-person small group sessions.
  • Fluency in Zoom, Mailchimp, OneDrive, Microsoft Office Suite, and Slack.
  • Familiarity with Asana (or comparable project management software) is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to organize multiple projects simultaneously while keeping track of deadlines and milestones independently.
  • Previous experience working with a comparable community of creative practitioners and understanding what needs or challenges these practitioners might have.
  • A curious learner who is eager to find and share new models and connect the dots between people and ideas.
  • Comfortable and confident in taking autonomous ownership over tasks within your purview and are always anticipating the next move, striving to improve systems and processes at every turn.
Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of Professional Development planning and delivery, which includes:

  • Working with NEW INC leadership to design a program arc for members.
  • Engaging workshop leaders and working with them to present workshop curriculum and materials. Communicate NEW INC priorities and mission to workshop leaders and other participants.
  • Scheduling workshop leaders’ participation in our program and managing ongoing relationships with them.
  • Overseeing all contracting and payments for teachers and facilitators.
  • NEW INC’s Professional Development Program is comprised of
  • CAMP, NEW INC’s weeklong orientation program for new members.
  • Working Groups: Semester-long skill building offerings.
  • Intensives: Day-long, member responsive programming addressing timely topics.

Paid Time and Holidays Off
