• A knack for taking technical or fast-moving topics and making them clear, practical, and specific to someone's job.
• Deep instructional design skill — how adults learn, how to build a good assessment, how to sequence a curriculum — plus strong writing and storyboarding.
• Real hands‑on experience with generative AI, including a feel for where it goes wrong and why how you ask matters.
• Comfort interviewing experts, sorting good sources from bad, and working across teams — with governance/compliance awareness.

As part of Schwab’s AI Strategy & Transformation team (AI.x), you’ll join the central hub for Artificial Intelligence across the company. AI.x brings together product, engineering, strategy, and risk specialists to set enterprise AI vision, invest in transformative opportunities, and accelerate delivery organization-wide. Our team builds the scalable core platform for AI and explores next-generation GenAI initiatives that redefine client experiences.

You will build the learning that makes AI genuinely useful in everyday Schwab work: a five-level curriculum that takes someone from their first prompt to rethinking how a whole process runs, built around how the work really gets done and solid enough to hold up in a regulated firm. What you create reaches every employee through MyTraining, and our Champions and Evangelists carry it into their teams. It is a rare chance to shape how an entire company learns to work with AI.

What you have

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in instructional design, learning strategy, or building skills across a large organization.
• A track record of learning that actually changed how people work, and the evidence to show it.
• A knack for taking technical or fast-moving topics and making them clear, practical, and specific to someone's job.
• Deep instructional design skill — how adults learn, how to build a good assessment, how to sequence a curriculum — plus strong writing and storyboarding.
• Real hands‑on experience with generative AI, including a feel for where it goes wrong and why how you ask matters.
• Comfort interviewing experts, sorting good sources from bad, and working across teams — with the judgment to know what needs a second look from governance, compliance, or legal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot at work, and with Copilot Studio or other agent-building tools.
• Experience delivering through MyTraining or a similar learning platform.
• Comfort reading learning data and adoption dashboards.
• Some experience with video, scripting, or working alongside a production team.

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
