Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks a Program Manager 2 to drive planning, coordination, and execution across its plutonium and national security programs. You will track scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables while coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring corrective actions.

The role offers exposure to a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. The successful candidate will maintain program documents, manage risks, and prepare management briefings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting program, project, or operational activities, including tracking schedules, deliverables, resources, or budgets.
• Ability to organize information, monitor progress, identify issues, and follow through on assigned actions.
• Basic understanding of project or program planning, performance tracking, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of program plans, work packages, schedules, budgets, and performance milestones.
• Coordinate program activities and resources across multiple organizations to support established priorities and commitments.
• Track cost, schedule, and progress against approved baselines; identify variances and assist with corrective action plans.
• Maintain program documentation, action items, risk registers, and status reports.
• Identify potential program risks, issues, and dependencies and elevate concerns to program leadership.
• Support communication and coordination with internal customers, project teams, and line management.
• Assist with resource planning, funding tracking, and the development of program forecasts.
• Help prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Support compliance with applicable safety, security, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a respectful, inclusive work environment and contribute to continuous improvement.
